Hey guys and welcome back to the final vlog! This genius hour has ben very challenging and I have learned a lot about myself through this experience! Before I get to ahead of myself though, lets talk about what I cooked this week! This week I decided I wanted to cook something easy and healthy. I looked some stuff up and decided tuna cakes was the way to go. Now I know what you all are thinking right now, tuna cakes. Ewww. They are actually very good and low in carbs which is what I wanted.     They did not turnout as planned though. You are supposed to put some flour in them, but I didn't because I really wanted to not have any yeast in them. Since I didn't use the flour the recipe essentially boiled down to eggs and tuna pressed into patties. Except because there was no flour they fell apart and crumbled. They were still really good and I liked them.      All in all I learned that I really should follow the directions because they are ther...

Hey guys! Welcome back to the blog for another week of cooking. This week I did not cook curry. Again. I did however make egg breakfast muffins! I'm actually super proud of myself for doing this because I listened to Mrs. Crews and made enough to last me the rest of the week.      These egg muffins were vey easy to make. I just had to stir the eggs and then add onions, ham, tomatoes, and spinach. After all this I ladled the eggs into a muffin pan and baked them for an hour at 350 degrees. They turned out super well and I'm most proud I stopped procrastinating and just went for it.     Next week I might cook curry; I might not. I've come to the conclusion though that I've got cooking eggs and chicken down. My goal for this next week is to cook some form of a supper dish that doesn't involve chicken.  Thank you for taking the time to read blog! I hope you all had a successful week !

Hey guys and welcome back ! This week has been what one could call a hot mess. I have not managed my time well at all these past couple of days, and consequently did not cook this week. Sadly  that means I did not get to eat some delicious curry. The reason for my lack of cooking is because I did not prepare this weekend. I usually find a recipe and then go to the store over the weekend to get the ingredients, but not this week.     While I may have sounded slightly depressed in the paragraph above, I'm actually quite hopeful. I'm hopeful that because now that I know where I'm going wrong I can adjust and have a great week next week ! Satrday I will find a good curry recipe that I can cook. On sunday I'm going to have to go to the store to buy the ingredients for the curry that I want to cook .      Thanks for taking the time to read my blog! I hope you all have had a great week

Hey guys and welcome back to the blog! I'm incredibly pleased with this week's dish! I know I cooked chicken last week, but we had some in the fridge and it was just calling my name. I really did add to it though by making it lemon pepper chicken.          My first step was letting the chicken thaw. That took way longer than I thought and it ended up taking the chicken about three hours to totally thaw. After that I did the usual and greased the pan, covered the chicken in olive oil, sprinkled it with salt and then almost dumped the whole can of pepper on the chicken. I didn't want to throw the chicken out so instead I scraped the pepper off. Then I added the finishing touches on it by squeezing half of a lemon on the chicken and letting it sit in the fridge for thirty minutes.     After that I guesstimated and it worked. I couldn't exactly remember what the specific time and temperature to cook the chicken, but I believed it was 3...

Hello my fellow bloggers! I hope all of your projects are going well. This week was actually a very big week for me. I've always loved chicken and beg my mom to cook it all the time, but no one else loves it as much as me, so this week I decided to learn how to make it myself!     I have tried to make chicken before by frying it, but it always ended up burnt. This time I decided to bake the chicken instead and it turned out super well. The first thing I did was cut the chicken in half so it didn't take too long to bake. Then I decided to put a generous amount of salt and pepper on the chicken and let it sit for a bit. After that I put it into the oven and let it cook at 350 degrees. I initially thought it would take 20 minutes, but it actually took 30 minutes.      This chicken turned out very well and I felt very accomplished after this week. I think I am going to cook chicken with some sort of sauce for my final three course meal. All in a...

Welcome back fellow bloggers! The plan this week was to cook lunch, but things took a different turn. Instead I helped my mom make a Mexican casserole for supper. It was very good. I did the first part of the meal myself and then my mom finished it up.          I began by browning the hamburger meat which is easy. That took about five minutes and then I had to chop up a bunch of vegetables. I learned a lot about what cooking utensils do what. The first vegetable I chopped up was a green pepper. I chopped it into tiny little bits with a large knife, only to  find out I could've been using a chopper that would've cut them up way quicker. I used the chopper with the bell peppers and then put them into the dish. After all the vegetables were put into the dish my mom sprinkled it with cheese and put in the oven.      The dish turned out super well, I only cried a little bit when I chopped the onions, and I learned a lot, so I...

Hey guys welcome back ! This week I decided I would make waffles to kick off the second week of my genius hour. I have come to the conclusion that breakfast food is quite easy to make. Waffles were a pretty cut and dry meal. I used Bisquick batter, and I personally hate the way it tastes, so I decided to add sugar to make it more flavorful.           After I read the directions, and got out the ingredients I mixed them up in a bowl. My mom said I need to be sure stirred the batter to the right consistency. The batter shouldn't be watery like soup, but you don't want it to be clumpy either. I stirred in search of the goldie locks consistency and once I thought I'd found it, I poured the batter onto the waffle maker.         A major lesson I learned through out this meal was patience. There were a few moments where I was so hungry and curious that I wanted to open the waffle maker early, but I ...
